Wyroby Artystyczne - A. Stepkowski - Plato de pared - 15 59 - Plateado

Magnificent Polish Silver-Plated Repoussé Plaque: Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper" by Wyroby Artystyczne A. Stępkowski An exquisite and highly detailed “handcrafted repoussé relief plaque” faithfully recreating Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece *The Last Supper* (1495–1498). This dramatic three-dimensional rendition captures the pivotal moment of Christ’s announcement of betrayal, with Jesus at the centre surrounded by the twelve apostles in a meticulously rendered Renaissance interior — complete with coffered ceiling, arched doorway, and ornate wall patterns. Crafted in premium “silver-plated metal” (platerowane srebrem) on a copper or brass base, the work demonstrates outstanding skill through intricate hammering and chasing that lend exceptional depth, texture, and luminous highlights to every figure, drapery fold, and architectural element. The original ornate beaded border frame completes its sophisticated presentation. Maker’s Mark: Clearly stamped in oval cartouche “Stepkowski Plater KP 1732” with model numbers “15 59”. This hallmark belongs to the historic Polish firm *Wyroby Artystyczne A. Stępkowski*, founded in the late 19th century and renowned for high-quality silver-plated decorative arts. Production ceased during World War II but was revived in 1967 in Milanówek (near Warsaw) by Andrzej Stępkowski using original pre-war patterns. The workshop continues today under family successors and is celebrated for its handmade religious icons, trays, and relief plaques exported worldwide. Origin: Poland (Milanówek/Warsaw region) Period: Postwar revival, circa 1970s–1990s Condition: Very good vintage condition with rich natural patina and strong silver luster; minor age-related tarnish only enhances character. No damage or repairs. Dimensions: 28.5 × 15.6 × 2 cm Weight: 732 g A superb collectible example of 20th-century Polish artistic metalwork, combining devotional significance with masterful reproduction of a Renaissance icon. Perfect for collectors of religious art, silver-plated objets d’art, Polish decorative arts, or Leonardo da Vinci interpretations. This impressive wall plaque will make a striking focal point in any home, study, or sacred space. Will be packed with care and with tracking
