A no reserve auction. Vintage good early solid 9ct rose/pink gold Rolex large sized cocktail wristwatch, a very good and original example. Sleek silvered dial with black Roman numerals and gold minute markers , blued steel spade and pin hands(dial nicely patinated). The signed Rolex timepiece is in good original condition and is set with 15 jewels signed Rolex & Rebberg under dial who made movements For Rolex Back in its early days . The timepiece runs with a clear tick and keeps fair time for age, taking into account that the timepiece is antique and over 100 years old. The heavy 9ct 27 mm case is marked 9ct .375 import mark for London 1929 Rolex, and W&D for Wilsdorf & Davis( Hans Wisdorph & his brother in law Arthur Davis started Rolex in 1905. Bezel inner dust cover and back close tightly, The Netonia bracelet/strap is not gold but rolled gold plated. Watch comes in a of the period box. In 1913 Aegler registered Rolex as a trademark for the manufacture of watches and watch parts. From this point on the history of Wilsdorf & Davis, Aegler and Rolex becomes virtually impossible to untangle from information publicly available, and the modern Rolex foundation never divulges any of its history. At a General Assembly on 2 July 1921, the joint-stock company under the name of Aegler S. A. fabrique de montres Rolex (Aegler S. A., Rolex Watch Co.) (Aegler S. A. Uhrenfabrik Rolex), with registered office in Biel, appointed the following Board of Directors: Hans Wilsdorf, President; Hermann Aegler, vice-president; Emil Béha, secretary.
