Nik Haku - "Blooming Silence" #7 XL

“Blooming Silence” #7 XL is a visual artwork by Nik Haku that portrays the body as a site of eruption rather than emergence. The figure faces forward, exposed and grounded, while a dense current of petals appears to burst from within her torso, simultaneously obscuring and revealing her form. The flowers do not decorate the body; they interrupt it, fragmenting the silhouette and transforming flesh into a volatile field of color and motion. The natural light and open horizon place the figure within a vast, almost indifferent space. The sea behind her acts as a silent witness, intensifying the tension between permanence and flux. The composition holds a fragile balance between solidity and disintegration: the stillness of the body contrasts with the restless dispersion of petals. There is no action, only endurance. Silence here is not gentle—it is dense, charged, and on the verge of release. Artist’s statement: With this piece, I wanted to push the idea of blooming beyond softness. Growth is not always quiet or kind—it can be invasive, overwhelming, and impossible to control. The body becomes a container that eventually fails, allowing what was held inside to escape. Flowers act as a metaphor for everything unspoken that accumulates beneath the surface: memory, desire, grief, becoming. Silence, in this work, is not calm—it is pressure. It is the moment when transformation no longer asks to happen, but insists. Artwork details: • Limited Edition: 1/10 Printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Premium Silk Paper and is sold unframed. Its elegant finish and subtle texture lend a sophisticated appearance, with vibrant, rich colors. The paper’s natural resistance also helps protect the print from fingerprints and scratches. Each piece is individually numbered and signed, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. The print is carefully rolled, packaged, and shipped via tracked and insured express courier from Spain to destinations worldwide. About the artist: I’m Nik Haku, a visual artist and photographer exploring the space between the real and the altered. My practice blends multiple techniques —primarily photography, complemented by painting— to construct images that move fluidly between mediums. My work spans portraiture and landscapes, beginning with photographic capture and evolving through painting, AI, and digital manipulation. I aim to create visual worlds where memory, identity, and imagined space overlap, dissolving the boundaries between what is seen and what is felt.
