This Lot comprises four original paintings by Gordon Hutchings featuring his wonderful anthropomorphic characters including Mr Bumble Bee, Dr Beetle, Lottie Ladybird and Belinda Butterfly. Each of these paintings measures 15cm x 10cm and is meticulously painted. Gregory is a happy-go-lucky grasshopper who moves to the country after his life in a garden in town is disrupted by a noisy lawn-mower. In this story he has a wild time riding a child's steam train and inviting all his friends to join. High Jinx occurs when Dr. Beetle runs down the tracks- Never get on the train-tracks kids! These Gregory Grasshopper stories appeared in the British comic Jack and Jill during the 1960s.
