Moonstone Verde Natural - Cadena

Handmade. Natural green adularescence in blue moonstone beads polished. Length: from 41,5 cm to 47 cm / Diameter stones: 1.0 cm Weight: 52.6 grams Green moonstone is a natural gemstone, belonging to the feldspar family and exhibiting a pink hue, often described as peach or beige. It's not a dyed or treated stone, but a naturally occurring variety of moonstone. Pink moonstone, like other moonstones, displays , a milky sheen or glow caused by the scattering of light within the stone's structure. Moonstones range in appearance from semitransparent to opaque and colorless to white, with a blue, silver, or white adularescent effect. Moonstone bodycolors vary widely. They can be green, yellow to brown, or gray to nearly black. Hardheid: 6,0 tot 6,5 Moonstone has been used in jewellery for millennia, including ancient civilizations. The Romans admired moonstone, as they believed it was derived from solidified rays of the Moon.[5] Both the Romans and Greeks associated moonstone with their lunar deities. In more recent history, moonstone became popular during the Art Nouveau period; French goldsmith René Lalique and many others created a large quantity of jewellery using this stone.[6] The moonstone is the Florida State Gemstone; it was designated as such in 1970 to commemorate the Moon landings, which took off from Kennedy Space Center. However, it does not naturally occur in the state. In Thailand, moonstone is known as Mukdahan, the same name as the northeastern province next to the river Mekong, Mukdahan. The name of the province comes from a folklore that a magical gemstone looked like a pearl floating above the Mekong in the area where the province is now located. Shipping registered.
