Labelled Simpertus Niggell - - Violín - Alemania

On offer is an old fine full sized master violin, labeled: "Simpertus Niggel Lauten - und Geigen-Macher in Füssen, 1754". The instrument is ready to play with no visible cracks, new rosewood set up and new strings. The bridge stamped Edward Withers. The tone is powerful, sweet, rich, clear as a bell and focused with many colors to work with. It is responsive and even in all ranges. The violin has one piece back made from beautiful softly flamed maple with matched sides and neck, the scroll of narrow flamed maple; the table is likewise matching of high quality, straight high grained spruce. The purfling has been painstakingly inlaid front and back. Original golden amber varnish remains in excellent condition. The whole length of the violin is 59,3 cm and the back 35,8 cm. The width of the upper bouts: 16,5 cm; middle bouts: 11,2 cm; lower bouts: 20,1 cm. Any questions I will endeavor to answer in a polite timely manner. Shipping worldwide insured. We are a virtual and accessible auction house dedicated to fine-stringed instruments, bows, and accessories. We bring collectors, musicians, and enthusiasts together from around the globe to explore a curated selection of exceptional instruments. There are certificates from our company available for extra charge Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind.
