Beautiful bottle from legendary Langhe producer Roagna, famous for top quality wines such as the Barbaresco Crichet Pajé. The label Opera Prima was born at the end of the 70s, created by Alfredo Roagna, Luca's father. The idea was to assemble different vintages of Nebbiolo, aiming to obtain a wine that is the synthesis of the best years. While the vintages behind the wine vary from a minimum of two to a maximum of four, the grapes always come from old Nebbiolo vines planted in different vineyards. The ageing period takes place in neutral oak barrels and in concrete tanks and after that the wine is finally assembled. The Roman number "IX" identifies the edition, bottled in 1994. The bottle was stored in a cellar with controlled temperature and humidity levels. You can see from the photos the perfect conditions of the wine.
