An exquisite heirloom piece! Antique chess set completely hand made in the early part of 1900 in Congo. The contrasting combination of green malachite and white marble makes this set a joy to look at or have strategic battles with family and friends. Each piece is meticulously hand crafted and feels weighty to the touch. All the pieces are intact and comes with a beautiful copper/bronze pot with lid inlaid with camel bone which was made in Morocco possibly from around the same period or later.
This set is truely a work of art where nature meets human artistry. The intricacies in the way the malachite is formed is beautifully brought out in each chess pieces and board. This is sure to make each game a pleasure and a memorable experience to cherish for years to come.
