The central scene depicts a scholar accompanied by an attendant in a garden landscape, beneath flowering trees with insects in flight. The figures wear traditional robes and hairstyles typical of 18th-century iconography, following earlier Qing dynasty models. The pierced rim (reticulated border) is a highly decorative and technically demanding feature, rarely preserved in such fine condition. The porcelain body is thin and finely potted, reflecting the quality and refinement of earlier export wares.
