Artist Bio
Iskander Ilz is a mixed media artist known for his organic textures and gestural application. Using unconventional tools such as twigs, dried flowers, thrifted items and his own hands, he creates visceral, textured abstractions deeply inspired by natural forms and immediate surroundings. His practice is adaptive and experimental, drawing from a rich, nature-inspired palette that captures the energy and unpredictability of life. Iskander’s work celebrates spontaneity and improvisation, where organic forms serve as a foundation for abstraction.
His work has been featured in exhibitions such as Rol Duc – Door Andere Ogen (group exhibition) and upcoming solo and group shows at Bene Omnia.
