This ellipse-shaped brooch is made from 14k yellow gold and silver. The ellipse is studded with twenty-two natural seed pearls of ascending sizes, and set with an old mine-cut diamond of circa 0.40 carats. Size: 33 x 15 mm. Weight: 4.45 grams. Material: Hallmarked with Austrian hallmarks for 14k gold, used after 1925: the little 'W' in the hallmark indicates it was made in Vienna. It also carries the maker's mark 'AR'. Condition: In good antique condition with only minor wear, consistent with age. Traces of glue indicate that some pearls were glued in their settings at some point.
