Stamped LV Raab - Consola - Madera dorada

Antique Empire console table of exceptional quality, featuring a fine white marble top above a richly carved and gilded wooden base. This rare and highly decorative piece is signed “LV. Raab”, referring to Johann Valentin Raab, the renowned German master active in Frankfurt during the early 19th century. The console displays superb Empire craftsmanship with: Two sculpted lion-head supports terminating in paw feet Rich shell, foliage and neoclassical decorative motifs Finely carved and bright gilded details Elegant proportions and strong architectural presence The contrast between the white marble top and the original gilded carvings gives the piece an impressive museum-quality appearance. A closely comparable signed Empire console by Raab was sold at Koller Auctions Switzerland on 22 September 2016 for approximately CHF 10,000. According to the auction reference, the comparable example was later restored and associated with the Würzburg Residence collection, underlining the rarity and historical importance of signed Raab Empire consoles.
