Burmese Amber with Larva – Rare Cretaceous Inclusion
Authentic Burmese amber (Myanmar) specimen containing a well-preserved larval inclusion, with clearly visible anatomical features.
A particularly interesting aspect of this piece is the presence of organic material extruded from the larval body, visible outside the specimen and naturally oxidized. This phenomenon likely occurred shortly after entrapment in resin and adds both scientific and visual significance, illustrating rare biological and chemical processes preserved in amber.
The larva is clearly distinguishable, with recognizable body segmentation. The amber shows good transparency, allowing the inclusion to be observed from multiple angles. The piece displays the warm coloration typical of Burmese amber and has no major fractures affecting visibility.
Origin: Myanmar (Kachin State)
Age: Cretaceous period, approx. 99 million years
Inclusion: Insect larva
Condition: Very good; natural oxidation of exposed organic material
Amber dimensions: 1.5x1.5 cm
Weight approx:0.5g
