Silla auxiliar - Nogal - Silla decorada única

Richly Carved Neo-Renaissance Armchair with Putti – Walnut – ca. 1880 – Fully Restored & Ready to Use A beautifully hand-carved Neo-Renaissance armchair dating from the late 19th century (circa 1880), crafted in walnut or walnut-stained hardwood. This chair is distinguished by its finely sculpted central putti (angel head), surrounded by elegant scrollwork and deeply carved decorative elements. The side panels feature openwork carvings with mythological influences, giving the piece a strong architectural and almost sculptural presence. The craftsmanship shows clear signs of skilled handwork, with rich detailing and depth rarely found in more common examples of this period. The chair has been recently reupholstered in a high-quality, neutral fabric, finished with a classic decorative nail trim. The upholstery has been carefully executed to respect the character of the piece while making it immediately suitable for modern interiors. The wood has been gently revived and polished, enhancing its warm tone and natural patina without losing its antique character. Mounted on original small castors, making it both elegant and practical. Practical advantage Unlike many comparable antique armchairs, this piece is relatively lightweight and compact, which allows for safe and affordable shipping. It will be carefully packed to ensure secure transport. Condition Structurally solid Minor signs of age consistent with its period Upholstery: new and unused (not pro) Overall: very good, ready to use Why this piece stands out: Rarely found with such expressive putti carving Strong decorative presence – ideal as a statement piece Combination of historical craftsmanship and modern usability
