Antigua copa devocional bohemia Biedermeier esmaltada, circa 1830–1860, vidrio claro soplado a mano con escudo en esmalte rojo y inscripción gótica, altura 10,5 cm y diámetro de base 6,2 cm, origen Bohemia, en excelente estado con signos mínimos de uso.

Antique Bohemian Biedermeier enamelled devotional drinking glass – circa 1830–1860
Description
A genuine mid-19th century Bohemian Biedermeier devotional drinking glass (Andenkenglas), dating to approximately 1830–1860.
The glass is made of thick hand-blown clear glass with a solid footed base and applied handle. The front is decorated with a deep red enamel shield cartouche with fine white enamel decoration and a hand-painted inscription in Gothic (Fraktur) script.
The German inscription reads:
“Gott hat geholfen
Gott hilft noch
und Gott wird weiter helfen.”
(“God has helped, God still helps, and God will continue to help.”)
Such devotional glasses were popular in the Biedermeier period in Bohemia and Central Europe and were often given as commemorative or religious keepsakes. The enamel decoration and proportions are characteristic for Bohemian glass production of the mid-19th century.
