Herramienta de trabajo - Carpintería japonesa tallada

A working set of eight Japanese tataki oire nomi (bench chisels) assembled from various smiths — a practical toolkit that tells the story of traditional Japanese carpentry at its finest. The set spans a wide range of blade widths, from approximately 8 mm up to 40 mm, giving the woodworker access to almost every joinery task. Each chisel follows the classic Japanese laminated construction: a hard hagane (cutting steel) core forge-welded onto a softer jigane body, producing a blade that holds a razor edge yet flexes just enough to resist chipping. Size Approx : 40mm 36mm - Sanobuhiro 左宣弘 30mm - Shigehiro 重弘 29mm - Nobumitsu 伸光 17mm - Koetsu 光悦 14mm - Kyūmaisasa 九枚笹 11mm 8mm Condition (Fair): The chisels show honest workshop use — oxidised iron shoulders, patinated hardwood handles, and wear typical of tools that have cut real wood. Cutting edges are present and refinishable. Two chisels are missing their ferrules. One handle shows splitting at the butt end; all blades are crack-free. There are minor chips on three blades. Please check the photos for details. This is a set for the woodworker who wants to use them, the collector who values provenance over showroom finish, or the craftsperson who appreciates that real tools carry real history. Shipping & Handling : This item ships from Japan via EMS (Express Mail Service) with full tracking. Shipping costs are borne by the buyer and will be calculated based on the destination and package weight. Items are dispatched within 3–5 business days of payment confirmation. Delivery typically takes 1–3 weeks depending on the destination and customs clearance. All items are carefully packed to ensure safe arrival. Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the buyer's responsibility.
