About the painting:
This painting explores a moment of stillness shaped by contrast. Soft, layered tones create a sense of calm, while assertive gestures interrupt the surface with quiet tension. Each mark feels suspended—deliberate yet unresolved—inviting the viewer to linger within the spaces in between.
Part of the “Fragments” series, the piece reflects the beauty found in incompleteness and the quiet power of what remains unsaid.
About the artist:
Andreea Zecheru is a known abstract artist based in Hamburg, Germany. Many of her works are held in private and institutional collections across Europe and the US.
“Creating art is for me connecting to my inner world by bringing onto canvas emotions and linking them to color and composition. My creative process is inspired by the complexities that surround us. The concept of duality is often one of the main triggers for my work. Painting helps me reveal depths and unconscious feelings, the compositions are intuitive and dynamic. Softness and rawness, control and unexpected, dynamism and calmness alternate in my work - the elements intertwine and oppose. In my work, I am always looking for a kind of balance and emotional response.” - Andreea Zecheru
