Medieval Bronce Cross pendant - 34 mm (Sin precio de reserva)

Material: Bronze Dimensions: 34 mm (height) × 25 mm (width) Condition: Good condition with minor wear and a stable patina A fine medieval bronze cross pendant dating to approximately the 11th–13th century AD. This well-cast example features rounded, lobed terminals and a flowing sculptural form, characteristic of high medieval Christian devotional jewelry. The cross displays a harmonious design with softly modeled arms and a solid, integrated suspension loop. The surface has developed a smooth dark green patina, indicating age and long-term burial. Similar crosses are often described as "Viking" crosses. Such crosses traveled throughout Europe during the Viking Age, a period of Nordic military, trade and demographic expansion that hit the Byzantine Empire, France, Italy, the Baltic nations and ancient Russia. Such crosses were worn as personal symbols of faith and protection, making them highly valued artifacts of medieval daily life.
