Marco antiguo en estilo Rococó/Luigi XV en madera dorada, con cristal y placa “P. Tillemans” – 41 x 47 cm

Elegante marco decorativo en estilo Rococó / Luigi XV, ricamente ornamentado con un refinado conjunto de volutas, motivos foliáceos, rizos y pequeños elementos florales en las esquinas y a lo largo de los lados. El conjunto presenta una fuerte impronta escenográfica y un gusto típicamente francés, con perfil movido y rico, ideal para realzar pinturas, impresiones, miniaturas, fotografías antiguas o pequeñas obras sobre tabla.

La estructura parece estar realizada en madera moldeada y dorada, con tallado en relieve en la franja exterior y una bonita batiente interna inclinada en tono más claro, que crea profundidad visual y guía la mirada hacia la imagen. La doradura, hoy envejecida por el tiempo, muestra una patina muy decorativa, con ligeras desgaste, abrasiones y zonas de ennegrecimiento/oxidación estética que enfatizan su carácter auténtico y decorativo.

La cornisa está dotada de cristal frontal y en el borde inferior interno se halla una pequeña placa metálica con la inscripción “P. Tillemans”, elemento interesante de señalar y de considerar como parte integrante del objeto. En la parte posterior se observa una construcción de madera sólida, con un sistema de fijación sencillo y artesanal.

Desde el punto de vista estilístico, el modelo remite al gusto de las cornices francesas movidas y ornamentales, con rica decoración asimétrica de inspiración vegetal. Se presta perfectamente tanto para uso coleccionista como para su incorporación en interiores clásicos, eclécticos o shabby chic.

Condiciones:
En buenas condiciones generales para su edad y uso. Presenta normales signos de tiempo y de uso: pequeñas desgaste de la doradura, leves abrasiones superficiales, patina irregular, trazas de polvo y signos visibles en el cristal. También se observan pequeños signos e imperfecciones en la parte trasera y en los bordes, coherentes con un objeto de época/decorativo usado. En conjunto bien conservada y de fuerte impacto estético.

Elegant decorative frame in Rococo / Louis XV style, richly embellished with a refined arrangement of scrolls, leafy motifs, curls, and small floral details on the corners and along the sides. The overall appearance is highly decorative and theatrical, with a distinctly French taste, making it ideal for displaying paintings, prints, miniatures, antique photographs, or small panel artworks.

The structure appears to be made of shaped and gilded wood, with relief decoration on the outer band and a beautiful sloping inner liner in a lighter tone, creating visual depth and naturally drawing the eye inward. The gilding shows an attractive timeworn patina, with light wear, rubbing, and darker aged areas that enhance the authentic decorative charm of the piece.

The frame is fitted with front glass, and on the lower inner edge there is a small metal plaque inscribed “P. Tillemans”, an interesting detail that should be considered part of the object. The reverse shows a solid wooden construction with a simple, handcrafted fastening system.

Stylistically, the frame recalls French ornamental models, with flowing contours and richly worked vegetal decoration. It is suitable both for collectors and for decorative use in classical, eclectic, or shabby chic interiors.

Condition:
Good overall condition considering age and use. It shows normal age-related wear: minor losses and rubbing to the gilding, light surface abrasions, uneven patina, traces of dust, and visible marks on the glass. Small signs of wear and imperfections are also visible on the back and edges, fully consistent with a vintage/antique decorative object. Overall, it remains well preserved and visually impressive.
