This is a special huge fossilized Megalodon tooth found while scuba diving off of the coast of Wilmington, North Carolina. Comes with a fine display with stainless steel engraved plate. There are absolutely no restorations or repairs done to this tooth The tooth is cleaned with vinegar and fresh water. No oil or buff the teeth. The tooth has been completely dry when pictured and the tooth is exactly as is the photo. Megalodon or Otodus megalodon was a giant shark measuring up to 20 meters in length. It is an extinct species of shark that lived around 23 to 2.6 million years ago, during the Early Miocene to the end of the Pliocene.
