Vintage Ionian Islands Map Collection (4) – Mid-Century Greek School Ephemera – 1950s A charming and cohesive set of four (4) vintage lithographic maps depicting the main Ionian Islands (Eptanisa), Greece. Dating from the 1950s, these maps were originally produced for high-end school atlases of the era, reflecting the post-war cartographic style of Greece. Included Maps: -Cephalonia & Ithaca (Nomos Kefallinias): Detailed topography of both islands, including Kalamos, and Kastos. -Zante (Nomos Zakynthou): Including the Strofades islets. -Corfu (Nomos Kerkyras): Including Paxoi, Antipaxoi, and Diapontia Islands. -Lefkada (Nomos Lefkados): Including Meganisi. Color offset lithography on paper. Approximately A4 size when unfolded, making them ideal for standard framing. Classic mid-century palette with soft greens, yellows, and ochre representing topographical elevations. The text is written in formal Greek, adding to the historical authenticity. The maps feature detailed legends showing "carriage roads," "mule tracks," monasteries, lighthouses, and nautical distances. The set is in very good vintage condition. Natural age-related toning of the paper, which enhances the "vintage" feel. Original horizontal center fold as issued. Clean margins with minimal wear at the edges. The items will be carefully packed to ensure safe delivery and shipped with a tracking number.
