Botella (3) - Gres, hecho a mano en torno, esmalte celadón con craquelado kannyu.

Item Description Title of Artworke Commemorative Celadon Sake Set This is a commemorative celadon sake set produced to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Kodama Jozo Co., Ltd. (小玉醸造株式会社), the prestigious Akita-based sake and miso brewery founded in 1879, known for their acclaimed "Taiheizan" brand sake. The set comprises one tokkuri (徳利 sake carafe) and two guinomi (ぐい吞み sake cups), all crafted in refined celadon glaze (青磁 seiji) with a distinctive kannyu crazing 貫入 — a fine crackle pattern formed by the difference in contraction rate between glaze and clay body during cooling. The pale blue-grey glaze with delicate crazing lines is characteristic of high-quality Japanese celadon ware. Each piece features an exposed dark stoneware foot (高台 kodai), creating a striking contrast between the earthy base and the translucent glazed body. Wheel-thrown forms give each piece an elegant, sculptural profile. The set is stored in a custom-fitted kiri wood presentation box inscribed with the occasion: "Kodama Jozo Co., Ltd. — Founded 110th Anniversary Commemorative / Seiji Sake Set." The box lid bears the artist's calligraphic signature and seal, though the potter's identity remains unidentified. A beautiful collectible piece combining functional Japanese craftsmanship with commemorative historical significance.
