Expositions collectivesMukendi Aaron is a visual artist from Kinshasa. Fascinated by color from an early age, he began by studying Latin and philosophy, then spent two years studying law at the University of Notre-Dame du Kasaï. In 2016, he decided to leave the legal field to pursue his true calling: art. He then joined
the studio of artist Mbuy John in Kananga. In 2018, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in visual arts.

Artistic Approach I work in mixed media, combining collage and acrylic painting on canvas.
My inspiration comes from everyday life in the Congo, particularly the lives of children. Through my work, I
examine the social realities that jeopardize children’s futures and education. My art also aims to convey a message of hope, resilience, and inner strength.
