Silla - Roble - Art déco holandés
A decorative piece from the Dutch interwar period, balancing early modern restraint with traces of the more flowing Art Nouveau language that came just before it.
This Dutch Art Deco armchair dates to around 1920, and is especially attractive for its proportions with the low backrest. The turned black side spindles give the chair a distinctly decorative character.
A very nice and versatile piece that works well as an accent chair or desk chair.
The wood has been cleaned and refinished, and the chair is in good structural condition: sturdy and suitable for everyday use. The upholstery is vintage, discoloured and would benefit from reupholstering. The seat is removable. The copper nails in the upholstery have developed rust over time, and one or two are missing.
Because of the dimensions and complicated packing in a triple carton made to measure box, the shipment costs are costprice or less. Its always insured and will arrive within 10 days worldwide. Buyers are of course also very welcome to use their own specialist transporters as The Packengers or Magic Movers and arrange their own pick up (and packing).
