"Tempus Ignis" – Original Abstract Mixed-Media Painting on Canvas
I am Corina-Elena Dinu, a Romanian artist (b. 1979, Romania), and this is my original work titled Tempus Ignis, executed in 2023.
On a deep charcoal black canvas, explosive bursts of magenta, burnt orange and olive green erupt with raw visceral energy, while intricate steampunk clockwork mechanisms — gears, watch faces and Roman numerals rendered in silver and copper — anchor the composition in a dialogue between passion and precision, between the organic and the mechanical. Energetic white gestural lines trace through the darkness above, evoking electricity, neural connections or the invisible threads of time itself. The glass paints create a richly textured, luminous surface that shifts and catches light from every angle.
