A Roman Bronze Signet Ring with Star / Radiate Motif, 2nd to 4th Century A.D.

Roman bronze ring with a large oval bezel measuring approximately 2.1 × 1.8 cm, deeply incised with a striking radiate or star-like design surrounded by linear motifs. The bezel is substantial and well-defined. The thick, robust hoop shows a rich dark green-brown patina with lighter bronze and verdigris highlights, typical of excavated Roman pieces.
Rings featuring celestial or radiate symbols (often associated with Sol Invictus or protective motifs) were very popular during the High and Late Roman Empire. They were used both as personal adornment and as simple signet rings.
