Thorens - TD 126 MK III Tocadiscos

I am selling a Thorens TD16MKIII with a SME 3009 series III arm, with many accessories

- another SME CE 1 arm, with plenty of settings and alignment tools, weights, oil paddles, setting tools, spacers and screws, all original SME

- original packaging of the SME arm, and original foam packaging of the turntable, ensuring best shipping safety possible (the box has been replaced, as the old one did not survive the years)

- a Pickering XSV 3000 cartridge, WITH ORIGINAL NEEDLE

The turntable has been serviced, turns quietly and smoothly, with perfect speed setting, all lights and settings functioning. Beyond some signs of use of a 40 years old setup, the back of the turntable cover system shows signs of glue, and the top cover shows signs of use, remaining however in very good state. It holds at all positions. The SME arms has all settings and required elements. The cartridge comes from the golden age of moving magnets cartridges. When testing it, the sound is fantastic... better than a Shure V15... indicating that the stereohedron diamond kept its magic. I however cannot guarantee the number of available hours on the cartridge, but such remarkable cartridge, ideally paired wit a SME arm, is a high value add-on.
You also get original manuals for the turntable and arm, quite useful (especially for setting the arm).
In this package, you get what remains a state-of-the-art reliable turntable, top semi-pro turntable of the 80's, ready to shine in an audiophile equipment.
The SME and cartridge will be packed separately, so you will get two separate packages, as it is important to keep the turntable well stable. Even though i will sell the items insured, I cannot guarantee perfect state on arrival, as shippers can be quite rough. Ideally, you should come pick it here.
I am selling my audiophile stuff, mostly around vinyl equipment, as I need to move It breaks my heart, but I hope it will please somebody else.
