Rare old colored copperplate map of Europe. It is taken from the *Atlas Fasciculus geographicus complectens praecipuarum totius orbis...*, published in Cologne, Germany by Matthias Quad and Johann Bussemacher around 1600
With a pretty scrollwork cartouche. To the west of Ireland, the map shows the phantom islands of Brasil and Demar, which were still believed to exist in the seas at that time.
