Guyatone - Pedal de efectos - Japón - 1980 (Sin precio de reserva)

Brand: Guyatone Model: PS-001 Distortion Type: Distortion Pedal Made in: Japan Serial number: 8030055 Colour: Black Complete set with original box and instruction manual – increasingly difficult to find. Produced during the formative years of Guyatone’s compact effects pedal production and representing an early chapter of Japan’s vintage effects history. This is a Guyatone PS-001 Distortion from the early EFFECT BOX SERIES, manufactured in Japan around 1980–1981. Carefully cleaned, inspected, and fully tested, the pedal operates properly and remains an excellent example of an early Japanese-made distortion pedal from the beginning of the 1980s. What makes this example particularly desirable is the presence of both the original box and the original instruction manual. Surviving early PS-series pedals with their original accessories have become increasingly difficult to find after more than four decades. The PS-001 belongs to the first generation of Guyatone compact effects developed during the rapid expansion of the Japanese effects pedal market. These early pedals helped establish Guyatone as one of Japan’s most respected effects manufacturers and laid the foundation for the company’s later success with innovative analog and tube-based designs. Cosmetically, the pedal remains in remarkably clean condition for its age. Minor scratches and signs of use are present, but overall appearance is well preserved considering it is more than forty years old. Estimated Production Period 1980–1981. Most likely manufactured in late 1980, with possible distribution during early 1981. Dating is supported by the serial number structure, PCB markings, transistor configuration, and the original UA1458C operational amplifier carrying a 1980 date code. Condition Very good vintage condition for its age. The pedal has been carefully cleaned, inspected, and tested. Operation was confirmed using both a 9V battery and DC adapter. No noticeable scratchiness or unwanted noise was detected from the controls during testing. Minor cosmetic wear is present, consistent with normal vintage use. Please refer to the photographs for exact cosmetic condition. Includes Original box Original instruction manual Note: Battery and AC adapter are not included. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, Guyatone introduced the EFFECT BOX SERIES, helping establish Japan as a major force in the global compact effects market. Today, original Japanese-made Guyatone pedals are increasingly appreciated by collectors and players alike, particularly examples from the company's early production years that retain their original box and documentation. For collectors seeking an authentic early-1980s Made-in-Japan distortion pedal, the PS-001 remains an increasingly desirable and historically significant model.
