August Walther & Söhne - Jarrón - Atlas - Vidrio

An exceptional and highly collectible German Art Deco statement piece, designed in 1933 by the renowned August Walther & Söhne (Ottendorf-Okrilla, Saxony). This heavy pressed glass vase represents the pinnacle of high German modernism, featuring the rare and iconic "Atlas" pattern. The sculptural design masterfully combines fluid energy with sharp geometric forms, utilizing an intricate web of interlocking curves, high-relief spheres, and contrasting frosted textures. Rarity & Historical Significance This specific smoky topaz (Rauchtopas) tone was offered exclusively during the initial production year of 1933, making it an incredibly elusive find for serious art glass collectors. Following the post-war nationalization of the Saxon factory, the complex original molds became permanently worn out by the mid-1960s. As a result, this authentic, pre-war design can never be replicated. This remains completely hidden from view when the vase is displayed frontally and styled, preserving its full aesthetic impact.
