Mesa auxiliar - Olmo - Wabi Sabi, orgánico

Organic Modern Elm Wood Side Table, circa 1960s–1970s A beautiful organic modern side table in solid elm wood, dating from around the 1960s or 1970s. The table has a wonderfully freeform top, following the natural movement of the wood rather than a strict geometric outline. The edges are softly rounded and irregular, giving the piece a warm, hand-shaped character. The elm wood shows a striking grain pattern, with knots, swirling lines and natural colour variation across the surface. It is exactly this lively grain that gives the table its charm: the wood itself provides the decoration. The four legs are shaped by hand and slightly splayed, with a subtle curved profile and broader feet. Together with the organic tabletop, they give the table a rustic yet sculptural presence. It sits nicely between mid-century design, folk craft and organic modernism. A lovely accent piece for eclectic interiors. It works beautifully as a low side table, or display for ceramics, books and collected objects. Condition: Good vintage condition with signs of age and use. The elm wood has a warm patina, with natural knots, irregularities, small marks and traces of use consistent with age and handmade construction. One of the legs is slightly shorter, so the table has a small wobble. This can easily be solved by placing a small felt pad underneath the leg, or more permanently by lengthening the leg slightly with a small piece of wood. Otherwise sturdy and ready to use.
