Cortébert - Hand-Painted Masonic Dial - Sin precio de reserva - Unisex - 1960-1969

Cortebert – In-House Manual Wind – 17 Jewels – Swiss Made – Hand-Painted Masonic Dial Offered for auction is a highly distinctive Cortebert manual-wind wristwatch, powered by an original Cortebert in-house mechanical movement with 17 jewels, entirely manufactured in Switzerland. Cortebert was one of Switzerland’s respected movement manufacturers, renowned for producing reliable in-house calibres that became highly regarded among collectors for their durability and precision. This example stands out with its professionally repainted custom Masonic-inspired dial, featuring symbolic artwork including the All-Seeing Eye, acacia branches, handshake, crescent moon, working tools, and additional emblematic motifs inspired by Freemasonry. The dial has developed light vintage patina over time, giving the watch a unique character while preserving its artistic appearance. The watch features a round gold-plated case with elegant faceted lugs, gold-tone hands, and is fitted with a high-quality handmade brown leather aftermarket strap. The original Cortebert movement is correctly signed CORTEBERT, Swiss, and 17 Jewels, confirming the authenticity of the movement. The watch remains in good visual condition considering its age, with expected age-related wear visible on the case, crystal, and dial. Timekeeping is good for a vintage hand-wound watch. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description and accurately represent the condition of the watch. No water-resistance guarantee is provided. Vintage watches should always be used according to vintage watch care recommendations. Any customs duties, import VAT, taxes, stamp duties, or other destination-country charges are the sole responsibility of the buyer. The watch will be shipped securely via FedEx, UPS, or DHL Express. Detailed photographs and a video of the watch will be taken before packaging and shipment for documentation purposes.
