Thonet - Sillón (3) - Sillón de madera curvada - Haya - Modelo original 6081

Thonet “Model 6081” Tripod Armchairs — First Edition (1910) A rare matched set of three original Thonet Model 6081 tripod armchairs, first edition, produced in 1910. They are part of my Thonet family collection. Each piece bears its original Thonet stamps and paper marks, confirming provenance and authenticity. Materials: Tinted beechwood bentwood frame. Seat upholstered in burgundy leather like oilcloth with decorative tack trim. Underside features the classic woven cane webbing - characteristic of early Thonet production. Condition: 100% unrestored. The original burgundy oilcloth upholstery shows natural, age appropriate wear, as do the tack trim and under seat cane webbing. Blemishes are confined to the seats, where the oilcloth is partially torn on the sides, as well as to the under-seat cane web, as shown in the relevant photographs. Frames remain structurally sound; only minor surface scratches are present on just one of the three chairs. Overall, the set retains its historical integrity and patina. Dimensions of each armchair: 62 × 81 × 56 cm (L × H × D) Complementary Thonet Pieces (Optional Ensemble) This set can be acquired individually or as part of a cohesive five piece ensemble, all sharing the same period, upholstery type, and Vienna Secession aesthetic. • Thonet bentwood two seat Canapé, Model 6281 (1900) • Thonet bentwood rocking armchair, Model 7481d (1910) Together, these pieces form an exceptionally rare and stylistically unified collection of early Thonet bentwood furniture.
