Burmese Amber (Burmite) with Parasitic Wasp Inclusion (Hymenoptera) Exceptional specimen of genuine Burmese amber (Burmite) measuring approximately 2.0 × 1.5 cm, preserving a remarkably detailed parasitic wasp (Order Hymenoptera). The specimen also contains additional biological material, including a smaller winged insect and plant debris, creating a miniature snapshot of a Mid-Cretaceous forest ecosystem. Originating from the famous amber deposits of northern Myanmar, the amber is dated to approximately 99 million years ago. Specifications Origin: Myanmar (Burmite) Age: Middle Cretaceous, approximately 99 million years old Dimensions: 2.0 × 1.5 cm Main inclusion: Parasitic wasp (Hymenoptera) Associated inclusions: Small winged insect, plant remains, and organic debris Preservation: Excellent, with antennae, wings, legs, and body morphology clearly visible Suitable for: Amber, fossil, entomology, and natural history collections This visually striking specimen captures a predatory parasitoid wasp preserved in resin during the age of dinosaurs.
