Abraham Hulk the Younger (1851-1922) - Rescuing The Marooned

Here we have a superb 19th Century oil on canvas by Dutch/British artist Abraham Hulk the Younger. The artwork depicts a rescue at sea in stormy weather as the marooned are brought to shore. The painting is signed A. Hulk with a possible date underneath the signature slightly left ?1884?. A wonderful antique piece which would grace any wall in your home.

Biography
Abraham Hulk ‘The Younger’ was a Dutch artist who spent most of his life travelling between England and the Netherlands painting landscapes, using both watercolours and oils. His work was exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists.
