Rumanía. 1993/2003, 2 x Medals (Sin precio de reserva)

LOT OF 2 ORIGINAL MEDALS + HOLLY ICONS. Decorative medal and consecrated icon of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The medal was issued on December 6, 1993, by the Brăila Museum, to mark the 625th anniversary of the first documentary mention of Brăila, a port city on the Danube in southeastern Romania. The reverse side features a bronze icon of Saint Nicholas the Hierarch—a great wonderworker. The icon was consecrated by a council of priests on the morning of that day in front of the Holy Archangels Church in Brăila, during an elaborate ceremony attended by the Late Bishop of Lower Danube Antim Nica, and a group of 40 priests from the cities of Brăila and Galați. Saint Nicholas is revered as a powerful intercessor in prayer for the healing of the sick and for the protection of travelers, sailors, and those in peril. The saint is also known as the protector of children, the downtrodden, and families facing financial hardship or adversity. In the Orthodox Christian tradition, the presence of his icon in a home brings peace, prosperity, and swift aid in the following situations: Protection during travel—drivers, seafarers, and frequent travelers pray to his icon for safe and smooth journeys; aid for the poor and afflicted—owing to his deeds during his lifetime, he is invoked for help in overcoming financial crises and material needs; protection of family and children—many parents pray to Saint Nicholas for their children's health, education, and upbringing; reconciliation and deliverance from injustice—believers seek his intercession to find solutions to legal disputes, conflicts, or moments of despair. Photos 9 - 19: An original piece with a limited mintage. Medal issued on October 1, 2003, commemorating the 35th anniversary of the founding of the 528th Reconnaissance Battalion. On the back - the icon of the Brâncoveanu Saints (Prince Constantin, his sons, and the counselor Ianache) is a powerful symbol of faith, dignity, and supreme sacrifice. The faithful pray to these saints for: the protection of the family—having been martyred together, they are considered protectors of family unity and harmony. Details are provided in the photos. The box is not in pristine condition, but it is the original one. The medal is in our possession, and we will ship it on the first business day. Delivery takes 8–9 days. It will be wrapped in shock-absorbing bubble wrap and placed in a water-resistant envelope. Please read the information about the seller.
