Descripción del vendedor

legendary Amarone from one of Italy’s most iconic and collectible producers: Giuseppe Quintarelli. Often referred to as the “master of Amarone,” Quintarelli wines are produced only in limited quantities and released after exceptionally long aging, making them highly sought after by collectors and fine wine enthusiasts worldwide.

The 2018 vintage is regarded as an outstanding expression of Quintarelli’s unmistakable style: powerful yet elegant, intensely complex yet perfectly balanced. Produced in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico region in Veneto, Italy, this Amarone is crafted using the traditional appassimento method, where carefully selected grapes are dried for several months to concentrate aromas, structure, and depth.

In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby-red color with garnet reflections. The bouquet is extraordinarily layered and refined, offering notes of dried cherries, blackberries, ripe plum, fig jam, cherry liqueur, sweet spices, cedar, tobacco, licorice, cocoa, balsamic herbs, and delicate vanilla from its extended oak aging.

On the palate, the 2018 Quintarelli Amarone is full-bodied, silky, and remarkably elegant for such a powerful wine. Rich dark fruit, mineral tension, polished tannins, and vibrant acidity create exceptional balance and freshness. The finish is extremely long and persistent, with lingering notes of spice, dried fruit, florals, and fine oak.

This wine spent approximately seven years aging in large Slavonian oak casks before release, showcasing the patience and traditional craftsmanship for which Quintarelli is famous.

Critically acclaimed, the 2018 vintage received 97 points from Vinous, praising its “incredible length and poise” and recommending long-term cellaring.

A true collector’s Amarone with excellent aging potential, capable of evolving beautifully for decades under proper cellar conditions. Ideal alongside game, braised meats, truffle dishes, or aged cheeses, but equally impressive as a meditation wine on its own.
