Gran cofre decorativo de ajuar / cofre de novia con pintura folk floral – firmado y fechado 1938 (incl. llave)

A la subasta se presenta un hermoso cofre de ajuar, de gran tamaño, en el tradicional estilo alpino de la pintura campesina. El cofre es un excelente y auténtico ejemplo del Heimatstil de entre guerras.

Características y detalles:

Fecha y procedencia: En la parte frontal, discretamente firmado y fechado con “Ella Joud 1938”.

Pintura:

Elaborada y colorida decoración pintada a mano con motivos florales clásicos (tulipanes y rosas) en paneles protuberantes sobre un fondo verde oliva. La tapa y los paneles laterales también están decorados a juego. Un perfil de cordón en tono rojo-marrón recorre el borde superior. La parte trasera está acabada en color oscuro sólido.

Cerradura y funcionalidad: Presenta su cerradura original de herrería forjada en negro y la llave correspondiente. El mecanismo de cierre funciona a la perfección: la cofre se puede cerrar y volver a abrir sin problemas, y la llave se puede retirar con facilidad tanto en estado cerrado como abierto.

Interior:

El interior está notablemente limpio, amplio y muestra la veta natural de la madera (sin compartimento interior).

Dimensiones:

126 cm (ancho) x 60 cm (profundidad) x 55 cm (alto).

Condición:

El cofre se encuentra en un estado original encantador y acorde a su edad, con una patina maravillosa. Hay desconchones aislados en la pintura y pequeñas grietas superficiales en la madera debido al paso del tiempo, que subrayan su carácter auténtico. Large Decorative Bridal Chest / Dowry Trunk with Floral Folk Art Painting – Signed & Dated 1938 (incl. Key)

Description:
For sale is a beautiful and generously sized dowry chest (bridal trunk) in the traditional Alpine folk art style ("Bauernmalerei"). This trunk is an excellent, authentic example of the regional "Heimatstil" from the interwar period.

Key Features & Details:

Dating & Provenance: Discreetly signed and dated on the front: "Ella Joud 1938".

Painting: Elaborate, colorful hand-painted decoration featuring classic floral motifs (tulips and roses) within recessed panels on an olive-green background. The lid and side panels are beautifully decorated to match. A carved cord-like trim in reddish-brown adorns the upper rim. The back side is finished in a solid dark color.

Lock & Functionality: Features its original black-lacquered forged iron rim lock and comes with the matching key. The locking mechanism works perfectly: the trunk can be locked and unlocked without any issues, and the key can be smoothly removed in both the locked and unlocked positions.

Interior: The interior is remarkably clean, spacious, and displays the natural wood grain, without an internal side compartment.
