Wall Sculpture – Unfinished Circle
Unfinished Circle is a unique, one-of-a-kind wall sculpture, entirely handmade from iron.
Its open circular composition combines geometric elements of different sizes and angles, creating a dynamic sense of movement, rhythm and balance. The deliberately unfinished form symbolises growth, change and possibility, while each individually crafted element gives the artwork its own distinctive character.
The sculpture is designed to be wall-mounted. Wall plugs and mounting hooks are included.

Finish: Gloss black with deep burgundy glitter accents
The artwork is signed by the artist with the initials D.B. and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Each piece is conceived and handcrafted individually in my workshop. Small variations in texture, surface and finish are part of the unique character of every artwork.

Education:
Self-taught contemporary artist and sculptor.
I am an independent contemporary artist based in Spain, working primarily with iron and concrete.
My artistic practice is characterised by geometric forms, structural balance, negative space, raw materials and a strong industrial and Brutalist aesthetic.
My work moves between contemporary sculpture, Brutalist design and functional art. I am particularly interested in the relationship between solid forms and empty space, order and irregularity, balance and tension.
Brutalism is at the core of my artistic practice.
I see great potential in this artistic language and believe that Brutalism remains an underexplored and often misunderstood direction in contemporary art and design.
One of my main goals as an artist is to bring Brutalism closer to people and to show that its raw materials, strong geometry and structural character can also be visually attractive, refined and suitable for contemporary living spaces.
For me, Brutalism is not only about heaviness, roughness or austerity. It can also express balance, elegance, rhythm and emotion.
I want to broaden the way people perceive Brutalism and contribute to keeping this artistic language alive. One of my artistic goals is to help Brutalist ideas reach a wider audience and to show that this aesthetic can become a natural and attractive part of contemporary homes, architecture and personal collections.
An important part of my philosophy is that art should reach people.
I do not believe that art should remain confined only to galleries or institutions. I want my works to become part of real living spaces and to create a direct relationship between the artwork and the person who lives with it.
Through my work, I aim to bring Brutalism beyond traditional art circles, allowing more people to discover, understand and appreciate its visual language.
I develop my artistic practice independently in my own workshop, outside the traditional gallery and artistic residency system.
All my works are individually conceived, handmade and signed D.B.
My artworks have been acquired by private collectors in different European countries, including Spain, France, Germany and the Netherlands.

Wallavibe – D.B is an independent sculptural workshop where brutalism, geometry, and industrial memory are transformed into contemporary functional art.
I grew up in an environment where concrete walls were thicker than words, and objects were created not for beauty, but for durability. The images of my childhood — grey housing blocks, massive furniture, rough surfaces, iron, wood, and concrete — left a deep mark on the way I think and create. It was a world where form always followed function, and aesthetics emerged from necessity rather than excess.
These memories and experiences became the foundation of my work. The brutalist tables and sculptures I create today are both a direct response to that past and a dialogue with the present. I am inspired by monumentality, weight, exposed structure, and honest materials. I do not try to hide or soften them; instead, I allow them to speak for themselves.
My works are an act of resistance against fast consumption. They are not created for temporary trends or seasonal tastes, but for permanence. These are objects that demand presence, time, and a relationship with the person who lives with them. They are made not to be replaced, but to remain — to age together with the space and the individual.
Each piece exists at the boundary between furniture and sculpture, between function and silence. They are solid objects — sometimes uncomfortable, sometimes provocative — inviting the viewer to pause and feel the weight, texture, and history of the material.
My work explores the relationship between memory, matter, and permanence in an increasingly accelerated world.
