This exceptional vase is known by two names - "FISH" and AXE HEAD" - and was designed by Michael Harris and made in Malta by Mdina in the 1970's. Mdina uses natural colours for their products, reflecting the sea and landscape surrounding this lovely Mediterranean Island. The brilliant cobalt blue is combined with a delicate emerald green foliage design framed by a clear Sommerso surround. The height of the vase is 17,5cm., width 11.5cm. The filial measures 1,5cm. and the base 11.5 x 4.0cm. The vase is signed "Mdina" on the base. Condition is excellent MINT condition.
