This is an original lithograph by the internationally acclaimed Spanish artist Antoni Clavé (1913–2005), titled Papier froissé (“Wrinkled Paper”).

Born in Barcelona in 1913, Clavé became one of the leading figures of the École de Paris and was closely associated with the Informel movement. Throughout his distinguished career, he received numerous international accolades, including the UNESCO Prize at the Venice Biennale (1954) and the Bridgestone Museum Prize at the Tokyo International Print Biennale (1957). His works are held in major museum collections around the world.

This lithograph exemplifies Clavé’s fascination with texture and materiality. Through subtle tonal variations and expressive composition, he evokes the tactile appearance of crumpled paper, transforming an everyday surface into a refined abstract image rich in depth and visual rhythm.

Firmada a mano en lápiz por el artista en la esquina inferior derecha y numerada 75/170 a lápiz en la esquina inferior izquierda.

Hay una mancha notable en el margen inferior derecho de la hoja. La imagen impresa en sí se mantiene en buen estado.

El marco presenta ligeros desconchones y arañazos menores consistentes con la edad y el manejo, pero es apto para exhibir. La caja de almacenamiento también está en general buen estado.
