An extremely fine and historically significant Victorian mourning/memorabilia diptych from the mid-19th century, set in a deep red velvet panel.Right side: A finely detailed hand-painted portrait miniature depicting a lady in mid-19th-century attire with a lace collar, elaborate hairstyle, and pink floral accents.Left side: A beautifully preserved and intricate display of woven human hair (hair art), arranged in a decorative clover/bow motif.Historical Provenance: The reverse features an authentic handwritten French label, greatly enhancing its collector's value by removing its anonymity:"Anne Angélique M. J. Sauvage, femme Blesy, 1857"Condition: In very good antique condition. Both the miniature and the delicate hair work are visually excellent and undamaged.
