Descripción del vendedor
Original acrylic painting on linen canvas.
A large, hand-painted pop-art portrait of Jean-Michel Basquiat, presented as a sequence of six contrasting colour variations. The repeated composition refers to the visual language of twentieth-century silkscreen and celebrity portraiture, while the expressive brushwork and irregular painted surface emphasise the work’s handmade character.
Basquiat’s distinctive silhouette and intense gaze are transformed through vivid combinations of orange, blue, yellow, pink, green and violet. The repetition turns the individual portrait into an image of cultural memory, fame and artistic mythology.
The composition does not reproduce a single existing photograph or artwork.
The final piece was painted entirely by hand and is a unique, one-of-a-kind work.
Dimensions: 130 × 190 cm
Original artwork, signed by the artist.
Delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
The painting is sold unstretched and will be shipped safely rolled in a protective tube.
