Classification: HED achondrite (Diogenite)

History: The meteorite was found in February 2026 by Sahrawi meteorite hunters during a search in Mauritania and subsequently purchased by the main mass holder.

Physical characteristics: Many grayish-greenish fragments some of which with patches of fusion crust.

Petrography: Recrystallized orthopyroxenite composed of fine-grained regions (grain size about 300 µm) and more coarse-grained interspersed layers (grain size up to about 1.5 mm). Main mineral is low-Ca pyroxene often containing small silica-chromite symplectites. Chromite is also present in arrays composed of numerous rounded and alongated grains appearing black upon visual inspection. Other accessories include troilite and Ni-free metallic iron.

Geochemistry: low Ca pyroxene: Fs24.3±0.2Wo2.6±0.1 (Fs24.1-24.6Wo2.5-2.6, FeO/MnO=24-29, n=10)
