Rare French doll made by Henri Delcroix around 1890 with closed mouth. - She is marked at the back of her head: J•D. - Standing around 24 cm tall. - 5 piece composition body. - Blue glass eyes. - Original wig. Dress likely not original, but very beautiful. Condition: Her head has been lighttested and is free of hairlines. There is a production fault, in the form of a pink line (see the last two pictures). This is not a crack. There is a chip to mention at the top of her head, right above the production fault. Her left glass eye is sadly cracked, but not very disturbing (Picture 20). This is a very rare doll, that usually sells for around €1000.
