A beautiful, matching set of two vintage Dutch ceramic tobacco (Toeback) humidor pots. Made by the renowned Royal Goedewaagen factory in Gouda, Netherlands, around the mid-20th century. The larger jar features traditional black ink transfers reading "Tabac Anglais N°220" and "Opregte Goudse Pijpefabriek" alongside the historical crown "ES" maker's mark. The smaller jar displays two Native American figures flanking a classic "TOEBACK" banner. Both retain their gorgeous, original polished brass lids. Condition: The large jar is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or repairs. The smaller jar is structurally sound, but its brass lid has three distinct cracks along the edge (clearly highlighted in the close-up photos). Both bases bear the authentic underglaze stamps.
