Asahi Pentax Spotmatic F Cámara analógica

Perfect gift for a loved one! This is one of the cameras in my personal collection. Body: Asahi Pentax Spotmatic F (Body Only) Introduced in 1973, the Spotmatic F (SP F) represents the absolute pinnacle of the legendary Spotmatic series before Pentax transitioned to the K-mount. It took the rugged, universally beloved mechanical foundation of the original Spotmatic and modernized it with one massive upgrade: open-aperture metering. The defining feature of the Spotmatic F is its ability to meter light without dimming the viewfinder. When paired with SMC (Super-Multi-Coated) Takumar lenses, the SP F's advanced TTL metering system allows you to compose and meter at full aperture, resulting in a significantly brighter viewfinder and a much faster shooting experience. True to Pentax's versatile engineering, it also remains fully backward-compatible with the massive ecosystem of older M42 screw mount lenses via traditional stop-down metering. Shutter: Horizontal-travel cloth focal-plane Speeds: 1s – 1/1000s + Bulb Metering: TTL open-aperture metering (with SMC lenses) and stop-down metering (with older M42 lenses) Exposure: Fully mechanical operation; meter powered only by battery Lens Mount: M42 Screw Mount (Universal thread mount) Flash Sync: 1/60s via FP and X PC terminals + hot shoe Viewfinder: Bright pentaprism with central microprism focusing aid Body Construction: Solid metal chassis built to endure The Spotmatic F is built like a precision instrument — beautifully balanced, reliable, and remarkably smooth to operate. The film advance is firm and well-geared, the shutter release has a crisp mechanical sound, and the tactile feedback is a joy for any analog enthusiast. Condition Please note: This listing is for the camera body only, exactly as shown in image_f74d07.jpg. No lens is included. The camera body is in great working condition: shutter speeds fire correctly and the film advance lever is smooth. The metal body and black leatherette show minimal wear for their age, retaining a beautiful classic charm. Note on the Self-Timer: The mechanical self-timer (the small silver arm on the front of the camera) is currently blocked and does not wind. This is a very common quirk with vintage mechanical SLRs and does not affect the shutter speeds, metering, or your normal day-to-day shooting experience in any way. Photographed in natural light to highlight the crisp lines and mechanical beauty of the camera body. This piece has been carefully stored in my collection and remains a highly capable, usable photographic tool. I feel it's time to find her a new home with someone that can take care of her and put her to good use. The shipping will be done by courier, with the best protective packaging, insurance, and a tracking code, as I would do for myself. Thank you and happy treasure hunting!
