============================
'Kashmir'
Was written whilst the author was serving in Kashmir. It was written at the request of Edward Molyneux, who illustrated the work, wishing to describe his faithfully depicted scenes of Kashmir. In the work, Younghusband describes the natural beauty of Kashmir, and proclaims his love for the region and its history. The author describes the beauty of the scenery and seasons of Kashmir, the travel, history, the valleys, places of interest, people, sport, products, mountains, and much more throughout the work. Younghusband was an officer of the British Army, and is best remembered today for his travels in Central Asia and the Far East. In 1906, he settled in Kashmir as the British representative for the British Army. Illustrated throughout by Major E. Molyneux, who painted beautifully in watercolour.
