Matured for 12 years in traditional whiskey barrels, este malt whisky initially develops the distinctive notes of The Balvenie: warm honey and soft vanilla. Subsequently, it is finished in special barrels seasoned with rum, created by mixing rums aged under the Caribbean sun with others matured at low temperature in the air of Speyside, Scotland. This unique process infuses whiskey with intense layers of candied fruit, toasted oak and delicate spices.
