Tissot V8 Chronograph, reference S762N/862N, a Swiss-made motorsport-inspired chronograph from the 2000s. Stainless-steel case measuring approximately 43 mm excluding the crown, sapphire crystal, fixed tachymeter bezel and distinctive cream/ivory dial with contrasting blue chronograph hands, powered by the Swiss ETA G10.211 quartz movement.

The V8 collection is one of Tissot's best-known interpretations of the classic racing chronograph. Its design combines an engraved tachymeter bezel with a dashboard-inspired three-register dial, large Arabic numerals and prominent luminous hour and minute hands.

This cream-dial configuration is particularly attractive. The warm ivory background contrasts strongly with the black railway-style minute track and oversized Arabic numerals at 12, 3 and 9, while the blue central chronograph hand and blue subdial hands add a distinctive vintage-racing character.

The chronograph layout consists of a 30-minute counter, 1/10-second counter and running seconds, complemented by a date aperture at 6 o'clock. The fixed stainless-steel bezel carries an engraved tachymeter scale for measuring average speed.

Condition

The watch is in very good pre-owned condition and presents very well overall.

The cream/ivory dial is clean and well preserved, with crisp printing, intact numerals and attractive blue chronograph hands. The sapphire crystal appears clean and is free from significant scratches.

The stainless-steel case and tachymeter bezel show normal signs of previous use, including light surface scratches and small marks, particularly on the bezel and polished areas. The engraved tachymeter numerals remain clear and well defined. Please refer carefully to the high-resolution photographs, which form an important part of the condition description.

The black leather strap shows visible wear and creasing from previous use, particularly around the adjustment holes, but remains usable. It is fitted with a signed Tissot stainless-steel buckle.

The quartz movement is running correctly. The time, date and chronograph functions have been tested: the chronograph starts, stops and resets correctly to zero.

An attractive earlier-generation Tissot V8 with a distinctive cream racing dial, blue chronograph hands, sapphire crystal and Swiss ETA movement — a combination that gives this reference considerably more character than many later black-dial quartz chronographs.
